Goopy zombies, groovy soundtrack, art as lore
Dario Argento and Lamberto Bava team up and nail it in this horror tour de force. Admittedly the best movie of the week, Demons has everything you could ask for. A crisp and ambient score, a beautifully creepy setting, and practical effects to die for. Free tickets are handed out to an unknown showing at a mysterious theater, and things get scary when real-life starts to mimic what’s happening on the screen. One by one, theater guests begin morphing into terrible monsters and turning on each other. Can there be any survivors in such a close space, or will the theater consume them all?
