Cursed cadaver, coroner story, daddy issues
A father-son mortuary team cut into the wrong witch. This well-paced & plotted tale may get a little tangled in the details but it’s a solid movie that doesn’t lean into puritanical interpretations of witchcraft for a cheap scare. The cat didn’t deserve that though, he was an innocent, cranky baby. Also the dipshit, irresponsible cop passing a cursed corpse onto an unsuspecting neighboring town is chef’s kiss. If only more people were willing to burn everything down, salt the earth, & pour concrete in the hole. You could make it arcane, write your intentions on the house before you set it on fire — “The earth will take this haunted ho so I don’t have to die in a spooky way.” Throw some bay leaves at it. Boo!
